Kimberly and Jonathan - i do!

Kimberly and Jonathan were married at her father’s home in Coconut Grove. It was a beautiful and intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends. They were married under the chuppah under the big tree in the front of the home, just as Kim’s father and brother were before them. Though the purple chandeliers hanging above were truly one of a kind. After the ceremony, the party continued with Biscayne Bay as a stunning backdrop for the reception. Love and happiness were all over Kim and Jonathan’s faces. Everything was perfectly designed and detailed by Melissa Davis Designs and Always Flowers. The food was delicious, thanks to the very talented Chef David Schwadron. It was truly a night to remember. I was especially honored to photograph their wedding since I have known Kim for quite a while. Congratulations! I hope this is only the beginning of a lifetime of celebrations for you!
Thank you to my fabulous team for your help with this one. Carlos and Stephanie...you rock my world!

Festival of Jonah

On December 17th, Jonah became a man according to Jewish law. Jonah did an amazing job leading his friends and family in prayer and chanting Torah. I love Bar Mitzvah services that don't take place on Shabbat, allowing me to capture the moments as they unfold. It was a Bar Mitzvah on Chanukah and it was truly a festival. Here are a few images from the service:

The Bar Mitzvah Weekend concluded on Saturday evening with a fun and festive celebration.

Thank you to the wonderful photographer and great friend, Carlos Gastelbondo, for co-shooting the bar mitzvah with me and going where I could not go! Thanks you to the wonderful Berger family for trusting me with another fabulous family event!

Olesya and Haiba - i do!

In a desperate attempt to catch up on my blogging (so many photos, so little time!), here is a sneak peek of Olesya and Haiba:

Olesya and Haiba were married in Miami Beach at the very cool, very chic, Gansevoort South Hotel. It was a beautifully planned destination wedding for these two international lovebirds. Everything was perfect, except for the freaky rain storm we had on their wedding day. Although, they didn't let a little rain ruin their big day. And I decided to turn the rain into rain bows...rainbow colored images, that is. Olesya was the perfect model and up to my kooky ideas. Just check out these fabulous rain boots with her cool colored wedding dress!

Monique + Julian - i do!

From across the country in Indiana, Monique and Julian managed to locate me to photograph their destination wedding here in Miami Beach. Monique and I hit it off immediatly over the phone, but it wasn't until the day of their wedding that we were able to meet. Like on a blind date, I arrived at the Palms in search of my bride and groom. Monique was just as sweet and welcoming as she had been on the phone, and Julian was a quite handsome groom. It was a beautiful ceremony on the beach surrounded by their closest friends and family with a fun celebration that followed...this group really knew how to get down!

Monique and Julian...thank you for welcoming me into your lives and allowing me to capture the memories of your wedding day for you. I look forward to many updates from you. And thanks again, for being the most patient bride ever!

not quite fall

Although it's not quite what I would call fall in Miami, we had a lot of fun rustling in the leaves the other day at the park and snapping a few photos while doing so. These three kept me on my toes during their photo session, but they were great fun!

we got it!

I often have moms ask me at the end of a photo shoot "did we get it?". I know that they always refer to that one great shot that will stand out in their minds as a memory of that moment in time or the perfect image for their holiday cards. I spent the afternoon yesterday with Gidi and Laura, and like most other moms, she asked that same fateful question "do you think we got it?". Well if this isn't it, then I don't know what is.

I love this shot and it portrays Gideon, full of fun and excitement in a way that only a two year old can express it.

I promise there's more to come from this one!

sweet silly girls

You may recall this image from my main website:

Watching these two girls grow over the last four years from newborns into little ladies has been a delight. Their annual photo shoots are always so much fun and each year, mom challenges me to come up with something unique. These images are fun and simple and they really do portray these two as little ladies, each with their own individuality.

I love this shot of mommy and her girls. There is nothing like love from your babies, no matter how old they are. Enjoy it mommy!

midwestern kids

What's more fun than a mini vacation to Miami beach! This midwestern family came to Miami for a little fun in the sun just before the cold set in this winter. We had a great time splashing and playing on the beach. It was a little bit of a challenge to keep these two out of the water long enough to finish our photo shoot.

Thanks for including me in your Miami Beach vacation plans! I hope that these images capture the memories of your vacation.

Giselle + Joel - yes! to i do!

Giselle and Joel are a fun couple, full of surprises. I know I wanted to be in on their big surprise from the first moment they told me about it. They had planned a lovely party to celebrate their engagement with their closest friends and family. To everyone's surprise (except for min and a few close family members), they announced that their engagement party was turning into a wedding. The looks on everyone's faces were priceless! It was a wonderful party and a beautiful wedding.
Joel getting ready to make the big announcement...great reactions...Congratulations Giselle and Joel! I wish you a life filled with love, laughter and many more wonderful suprises!

olivia - 2 weeks

On my road trip to Palm Beach the other day, I made a stop at the home of little miss Olivia. I had so much fun with her and her mommy and grandma (especially playing six degrees of separation!). At only two weeks old, Olivia was very alert for such a little one. Just look at those eyes and that head of hair...she sure is a cutie!

The name of her story book would definitely be "Olivia and Her Adventures in Pink"...sounds like a great album title!

Thanks Brianna...I can't wait to see her grow!
